Habakkuk's Fear (1-2)
Hab 3:1  A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.

Hab 3:2  O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
reviv thy work. Literally, preserve or make alive thy work; i.e., God's declared program of judgment on Judah and then on Babylon (1:5-11). God's ways are best but not fully comprehesible. (We see through a dimly glass of water).

Glory of God/ Shechinah glory
Hab 3:3  God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran (Deut 33:2; Judg 5:4-5). Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
This vision portrays God marching north in power and wrath from the direction of Mount Sinai (Teman was in Edom to the south; Paran was in the wilderness of Sinai; Deut 33:2).
God is accompanied by a violent storm.

Hab 3:4  And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
God/Elohim was casting lightning bolts.
December 23 Rosh Codesh events
On this day we had three events occuring in the heavens. First we had lightning coming from the sun at the end of a eleven day events beginning on Rosh Hashanah 2014.
Tuesday Day 6 of Chanukkah on Rosh Chodesh (First sliver of the new moon) which is the first day after the Winter Soltice.
This is also a part of the eleven day event cycle on End Times Forecaster which began on Rosh Hashanah.

Major Ursid Meteor Event. Normally the Ursid meteor shower, which peaks each year on December 21-23, is a minor event, producing no more than about 10 meteors per hour. However, in 2014 it was different. The Canadian Meteor Orbit Radar (CMOR) detected a significant outburst near 0 UT on December 23rd. CMOR recorded close to 100 Ursid orbits during the 1.5 hours of outburst (from 2315 UT Dec 22-0045 Dec 23). This was more than a factor of two above any other Ursid outburst CMOR has recorded in the last dozen years.  spaceweather.com;  beforeitsnews.com/space/2014/12/major-ursid-meteor-outburst-lights-up-christmas-night-
Comet 15 P Finley  It is interesting that Mars and Finley's paths intersect on December 23, when the duo will be in close conjunction on about apart (1/3 the diameter of the Full Moon) or 1/6th of a degree from Mars. They will continue to remain almost as close on Christmas Eve. Comet reaches its perihelion which is the closest approach to the Sun on Dec 27 on Shabbat. ufosightingshotspot.blogspot.com/ ; youtube.com/watch?v=2voCWK239; earthsky.org/space/comet-finley-is in outburst; beforeitsnews.com/space/2014/12/signs-in-the-heavens-comet-finlay-in-bright-outburst-to-pass-by-mars-on-dec-23-24-video-2486636.html

Day of the Lord begins here.
Hab 3:5  Before him went the pestilence (Rev 6 4th Seal), and burning coals (fire; meteorite storm; Great Heat; Trumpet Judgments 1-4) went forth at his feet.
In the past we can compare pestilence wih Exodus 7-12 (Ten plagues). Days of Darkness article compares the plagues to the Trumpet and bowl judgments.

Hab 3:6  He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations (war) ; and the everlasting mountains were scattered (earthquakes), the perpetual hills did bow (sink or depress; earthquakes and floods): his ways are everlasting.

Hab 3:7  I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble (earthquakes).
Earthquakes associated with Elohim's presence terrorized Beduoin peoples such as the Cushan and Midian.

Hab 3:8  Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?
Rivers become torrents of flooding. To many events to be recorded in the last 7 years.
These judgments of the rivers are compared to Exodus 7:20-25 and the Sea to Exodus 14:13-31 (First Exodus Crossing of Sea of Aquaba). Sea (Hb yam; vv 8,15) is the name of the pagan god Yam, who was a symbol of chaos subdued by Baal in Canaanite mythology; similarly the watery deep (Hb tehom, v:10) was the goddess Tiamat subdued by Marduk in Babylonian mythology. The purpose of Elohim's march was to subdue His people's enemies, who were symbolized by elements of people and their anointed Davidic lineage, thus preserving the promise of the coming Messiah.
Gill Broussard believes that Nibiru was present at the Exodus plagues because of the word "Destroyer" in the Tenth Plague.

The many names of 'The Destroyer'
The star has been given many names during its course through the history of mankind.
Lucifer, Satan, The Dragon, The Great Snake, The Destroyer, The Serpent, The Devil, Marduk, Nibiru, Shiva, Hercolubus, Wormwood, The Dark Star, The Death Star, The Red Star, The Red Planet, The Planet of the Crossing, The Winged Disk, The Tenth Planet, The Dark Twin, Black Star, Freightener,
“The Destroyer” in the Old Testament of the Bible; “The Destroyer” in ancient writings of the Egyptians (Ex 12:23; Jer 6:22-30; Jer 48:7-10; Isa 16:4-5; Jer 4:1-10; Jer 51:18; 51:54-58; Rev 12:3-4, 9, 12-15). Other verses: Isa 54:16-17;

Hab 3:9  Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths (Deut 32:40-43) of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave (cut/divide) the earth with rivers (floods; Tsunamis; Hurricanes).

Hab 3:10  The mountains saw thee, and they trembled (quaked)(Psalm 77:16): the overflowing of the water passed by (Tsunami): the deep uttered his voice (Exod 19:18-Shout and Trumpet), and lifted up his hands on high.
Marduk and the Flood account. Nibiru was present at the Flood.  Many accounts say that Nibiru passed here at the flood and caused it. Genesis 6-7
It is interesting to note that a word in Genesis 6:17 was the word "destroy". The first time for the word destroy was used is found with the Flood account so the "Destroyer" was present at the Flood.

Hab 3:11  The sun and moon stood still in their habitation (Joshua's long day; Josh 10:12-13; second repeat by Nibiru during Day of the Lord?) at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.
Gill Broussard believes that Nibiru was present on the day of Joshua's Long Day. It was also called "The Battle of Beth-Horon" or the Prayer of Habakkuk on e-sword by Isbe commentary.

Hab 3:12  Thou didst march through the land in indignation (wrath), thou didst thresh the heathen in anger. (Armageddon--wrath of God). We will see a repeat of the ten plagues and the Exodus Sea events at the Day of the Lord and deliverance of the Torah-observant Bride and House of Israel return in v. 13.

Hab 3:13  Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.

Hab 3:14  Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind (toranadoes; collapsing of the jet stream) to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.
Dan 11:40 describes the War of the North and South which is another way of describing the Ezekiel 38-39 war.
Zech 9:14 describes the battle of the combined forces of Judah with the House of Israel after the Second Exodus that will destroy Islam and tear down the 2 Baal shrines on the Temple Mount so the third temple can be built.

Hab 3:15  Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters. (Exodus; Second Exodus).

Hab 3:16  When I heard, my belly trembled (Dan 10:4-9; Rev 1:7); my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones (Jer 23:9), and I trembled in myself, that I might rest (Lk 21:19) in the day of trouble/distress (Day of the Lord): when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops (Jer 5:15)(Second Exodus; war against Islam; Babylonians).
Habakkuk waited a double distress: Invasion of Judah (Psalm 83 War) and judgment on Babylon (vv. 13-15; 2:6-20). And Secondly, we have the predicted Babylonian invasion (Hab 1:5-11) (Ezekiel 38-39 War; War against House of Israel in North America and Europe). Islam will cause blood against the scattered house of Israel (Rev 6:9-11; Lk 9:9--beheaded).  America (end times Babylon, (Babylon the Great(JA)) destroyed in a nuclear holocaust. (Rev 17:16-18:24) Late 2015, 2016

The Day of the Lord refers to God’s special interventions into the course of world events to judge His enemies, accomplish His purpose for history, and thereby demonstrate who He is as the sovereign God of the universe.

This time of God’s special intervention known primarily as The Day of the Lord has been referred to by other terms in scripture, such as the Time of Jacob’s Trouble (Jer. 30:7); His Strange Work/Act (Isa. 28:21); the Day of Israel’s Calamity (Deut. 32:35); the Indignation (Isa. 26:20; Dan. 11:36); the Overflowing Scourge (Isa. 28:15, 18); the Day of Vengeance (Isa. 34:8; 35:4; 61:2); the Day of Wrath/Distress/Wasteness/Desolation (Zeph. 1:15); the Day of Darkness/Thick Darkness/Gloominess (Zeph. 1:15, Joel 2:2); the Day of Trumpet and Alarm (Zeph. 1:16); the hour of trial (Rev. 3:10); the Wrath to Come (1 Thess. 1:10); the Wrath (1 Thess. 5:9), and the Hour of His Judgment (Rev. 14:7). In some instances, the Day of the Lord, due to its unique nature and importance, has been referred to as simply “that day” (Isa. 2:11, 17; 2:20; 4:2; Joel 3:18; Mark 13:32; Luke 21:34; 2 Tim. 1:12, 18; 4:8), and Day of the Lord in the major prophets.
The Coming Epiphany.com The Coming Epiphany Chapter 1.

Day of the Lord events are from Revelation 8-16.

Habakkuk waited a double distress: Invasion of Judah (Psalm 83 War) and judgment on Babylon (vv. 13-15; 2:6-20).
Hab_2:1-4 : Yahweh solves the perplexing problem by announcing that the exaltation of the Chaldeans will be but temporary; in the end they will meet their doom, while the righteous will live. Yahweh promises deliverance 2:5-20: Woes against the Chaldeans; Assyrians; and/or Egyptians.
It is a symmetrical whole, five stanzas; three of three verses each, the fourth of four, and the last of two verses. Each stanza, except the last, begins with "woe." All have a closing verse introduced with "for," "but," or "because." Each strophe begins with the character of the sin, then states the woe, lastly confirms the woe (Hab_2:2-20).
Some parts, especially Hab_2:12-14, “consist largely of citations and reminiscences of other passages, including some late ones” (compare Hab_2:12 with Mic_3:10; Hab_2:13 with Jer_51:58; Hab_2:14 with Isa_11:9; Hab_2:16 with Jer_25:15, Jer_25:16; Hab_2:18-20 with Isa_44:9; Isa_46:6, Isa_46:7; Jer 10:1-16).

And Secondly, we have the predicted Babylonian invasion (Hab 1:5-11) (Ezekiel 38-39 War).
Hab_1:2-4 : The corruption of Judah; the oppression of the righteous Jews by the wicked Jews or possibly by the wicked Assyrians and Egyptians or Babylonians, which calls for the Divine manifestation in judgment against the oppressors Hab_1:5-11 : Yahweh announces that He is about to send the Chaldeans to execute judgment and to bring deliverance to the Jews. Hab_1:12-17 : The prophet is perplexed. He cannot understand how a righteous God can use these barbarians to execute judgment upon a people more righteous than they. He considers even the wicked among the Jews better than the Chaldeans. Appeal to Yahweh on behalf of the Jews against their oppressors.
Chaldeans, from Babylonia, carry out a policy of world conquest. Subduing of many nations, the cruel oppression of Judah for some length of time. Chaldeans, already known as a nation thirsting for blood, to punish the wickedness of Judah. The Chaldeans are punished not merely for their sins against Judah, but for the oppression of other nations as well. Being the only God, He cannot permit the worship of other deities. Temporarily the Chaldeans may worship idols, or make might their god, they may “sacrifice unto their net,” and burn incense “unto their drag,” because by them “their portion is fat and their food plenteous”; but Yahweh is from everlasting, the Holy One, and He will attest His supremacy by utterly destroying the boastful conqueror with his idols.
Chaldeans are Islam/Edom/Esau; America (ISIS); Jesuits (Began Islam); Political and Religious Babylon. Esau's tribe would be a thorn in the flesh of Elohim until the very end which occurs at the Second Exodus (Rapture) and only then would Islam be defeated in the Middle East and the land of Canaan would be reestablished by the twelve tribes of Israel. What a glorious day will that Day of Trumpet be in probably 2016.

Hab 3:17  Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: (Everything will be affected by death).

Acceptance of Faith that God will win the war against humanity. Habakkuk trusted in God as do I (John Ashcraft), finding his strength and sure footing through faith.

Hab 3:18  Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Yahveh is Elohim's personal name in the Tanakh (Old Testament). It is usually rendered Lord (Adonai).

Hab 3:19  The LORD God (YHVH Adonai) is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
Habakkuk applied to his own life the message of Hab 2:4: "The righteous one will live by his faith."

Exo_15:2  The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
2Sa_22:33  God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
Psa_18:2  The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Psa_18:32  It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
Psa_59:9  Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.
Psa_59:17  Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
Psa_62:7  In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Psa_73:26  My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Isa_12:2  Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Isa_49:4  Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God.
Hab_3:19  The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
